Help Us Celebrate our 100th Anniversary!

The Sault Ste. Marie Horticultural Society in Ontario, has existed for over a century.  It first began in 1908, with a lapse of about 18 years during World War 1, and restarted in 1926.  The Horticultural Society has a historical connection to the Canal Greenhouse, which we still operate today at the Canal National Historic Site run by Parks Canada.  And the Canal has gifted us, in commoration of our 100th Anniverary, the garden between the Greenhouse & the Superintendent's Historic Home.  A plaque will be installed in the garden this year.
